Senate prez offers changes to pot legalization bill

Senate President Jeb Bradley, R-Wolfeboro and inset left, presented to a State Senate panel proposed changes to a pending plan in the State Senate to legalize recreational marijuana for adults 21 and older.

Bradley stressed he's still vote against the bill but felt an obligation to try and improve it.

CONCORD — Senate President Jeb Bradley, R-Wolfeboro, said a proposed Senate plan to legalize recreational use of cannabis for adults falls short of preventing “Big Marijuana” firms from dominating the New Hampshire market.

A vocal opponent, Bradley presented multiple changes Thursday to the 35-page proposal of fellow Sen. Daryl Abbas, R-Salem, who said his proposed franchise store model is the only one that can win majority support in the state Senate.
